Mechanic

  • Job located in Huron, SD, relocation or commuting is required.

Description

  • Asphalt Paving & Materials Company is a heavy highway paving contractor that operates in South Dakota. We are looking for motivated individuals that would like to help in our asphalt operations. We operate out of historically around Huron, and De Smet South Dakota.

Payment Structure

  • $35.00-$45.00 per Hour

Roles & Responsibilities

  • Ensure that our fleet of trucks and paving equipment is operating as it should.
  • Maintain a maintenance log and produce a service schedule.
    • Oil Changes
    • Tire Changes
    • Greasing
  • Inspecting, diagnosing, maintaining, and repairing large pieces of machinery.
  • Trouble shooting.
  • Repairing engines, hydraulic systems and wear components.
  • Inspecting, diagnosing, maintaining, and repairing large pieces of machinery, and other heavy duty vehicles.
  • Safety checks, and record keeping.
  • Ensuring all of our trucks and trailers are DOT certified for the upcoming season.
  • Traveling to job sites to diagnose and repair equipment breakdowns in the field.
  • Occasionally fabricating or modifying parts to fit specific repair needs.

Requirements

  • Must have full set of own tools.
  • Previous heavy duty mechanic experience.
  • Class A CDL.
